About the event
The Rev. Canon Leyla King is a Palestinian-American Episcopal priest and co-founder of PACA: Palestinian Anglicans and Clergy Allies (palestiniananglicans.org). Her presentation, “A Personal Story of Palestine,” provides a way into the conversation about the current realities in the Holy Land through the lens of her family's experiences as Palestinian Christians.
Her stories help audiences learn about the underlying roots of the conflict while equipping Western Christians to think and speak more compassionately about current events and future hopes in Palestine and Israel from within the Christian tradition.
Leyla serves as the Canon for Mission in Small Congregations for the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. She writes about her experiences as a Palestinian, a clergywoman, and a mother at thankfulpriest.com . Her first book, Daughters of Palestine: A Memoir in Five Generations, is forthcoming in July 2025.
